The Clark family originated in the hamlet of Inverchapel at the south east shores of Loch Eck. They emigrated to Australia and were associated with the Ghoolendaadi sheep station from 1865 until 1919. At its height, the property on the Liverpool Plains comprised 268,000 acres (400 square miles).
