This lavishly illustrated book is a tour of thirty-one of the most magnificent lighthouses built in Scotland over the past 200 years. These beautiful and technically efficient lighthouses were constructed to protect ships from Scotland's rocky, windswept coastline. Most of the structures described here are in excellent condition and still lighting the coast of Scotland today. Sharma Krauskopf...is a regular contributor to 'Lighthouse Digest' magazine. A Michigan-based free-lance writer, she and her husband own a lighthouse in Scotland.
