The Covenanters

Watts, Claire2011
Books, Manuscripts
Charles I believed that a king was given his position by God and that no one had the right to question his actions. When he came to throne he began to make changes to the way Scotland was run. Petitions were made against this and the National Covenant was drawn up. This book documents the struggles of the 'Covenanters'.
