Hugh MacDiarmid

MacDiarmid, Hugh, 1892-19781986
Books, Manuscripts
Henry Stamper edited MacDiarmid's own words from the book 'Lucky Poet : a self-study in literature and political ideas', to give a picture of the man in his one-man show, 'Between the Wars'. The show has not only entranced audiences at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, the National Theatre in London, in Canada and elsewhere, but earned the approval of McDiarmid himself as an authentic self-portrait. With the help and permission of Henry Stamper and Valda Grieve, we are delighted to launch this new series so triumphantly.
