The first edition of this history of Loch Goil was a millennium project initiated by members of the local community. Because of its success, and the many requests for it since it went out of print, this second edition was conceived. Beginning with the pre-history of the area, it includes information from the medieval period through the twentieth century and incorporates memories of villagers past and present. However this is much more than a reprint, as it contains a number of new sections, a completely new chapter of "the war years" and several new photographs.
