The Lochgoil and Lochlong Steamboat Company played an important role in the development of the Loch Goil and Loch Long area and it was formed to take advantage of the growing trade route from Glasgow to Inveraray. This book gives information on the people who were involved with the company and the steamers that were owned by the company and worked the Glasgow to Loch Goil and Loch Long routes. The book starts with some information on the first steamers on the Loch Goil route and the formation of the Lochgoil and Lochlong Steamboat Company in 1825.
