An archaeological survey of Inveruglas Farm : a search for Clan MacFarlane

Starbuck, David R.2011
Books, Manuscripts
Historical sources indicate that the members of Clan MacFarlane traditionally resided in the area between Loch Long and Loch Lomond. The southern end of Loch Lomond is dotted with 33 small islands, some of which were inhabited by MacFarlanes, who built castles occupied by clan chiefs. The purpose of this report is to locate and describe archaeological sites that have survived within the limits of Inveruglas Farm.
